Currency change

The Convertible Cuban Peso (CUC) is the currency used to make the payments for services and goods acquired in Cuba.
 
The currency exchange can be done in the bureau exchange CADECA, banks, airports and hotels. As reference, we include a table with the official exchange published by Central Bank of Cuba.

The updated official currency exchange can be obtained via Central Bank of Cuba.
If you bring US dollars, you should change them in the bank, bureau exchange or in the hotel according to the current exchange rate (1.00 CUC = 1.08 USD) plus 10% of gravamen.
 
The acceptable credit cards are VISA or MASTER CARD that have not been issued by United States Banks. If the currency of the credit card is the US dollar, it will be billed a 1.1124%, due to exchange rate and currency purchase.
