Following in the footsteps of Informática

Scientific progresses and updates, experiences exchanging, and a opportunity to know how the State-of-the-Art technologies world is, not only in Cuba but in the rest of the world as well. These are the most important aspects that the 17th edition of the International Convention and Fair Informatica 2018 has to offer. Its academic events will be held from March 19th to 23rd, at Havana's Conference Center, and the main presentations of products and services will take place at PABEXPO's Fairgrounds.

According to Cecilia Valdés (Deputy Director of the Institutional Communication Directorate of the Cuban Communications Ministry) 13 events with different development levels will coexist in this edition of Informática; from the 1st Workshop on Digital Medical Records (coordinated by the Public Healthcare Ministry) to other events with more than 6 editions each. For example, the ones that deal with security issues, organized by the Informatics Advisory and Security Enterprise (Segurmática) or the entertainment and social networks events, which are arranged by the Computer Science and Electronics Joven Club (JCCE).

''Each one of them is a space of dynamic training, and every event updates its participants about the implementations, of what they exhibit, in the policy that aims to improve the Informatization Process of the Cuban Society. There will be a strong representation of every entity pertaining to Information Technologies (IT) sector in the country, like the National Software Enterprise (Desoft), as well as others that will carry out scientific events at the Convention, and present their newest products and services at the Fair. In this edition, the Cuba Stand will remain, this is the stand in which the main projects of the country are grouped in.'' She asserted.

On the official website of Informática 2018 it can be found that apart from the selected works at the events, around 70 lectures will be given. Also, 30 pre-congress and post-congress activities, more than 12 roundtables and 65 thematic panels will take place.

What does the Fair feature?
