Scope and Aims
The International Conference on Informatics and Computer Sciences (CICCI’ 2011) will be held in Havana, Cuba, from 7th to 11th February 2011, within The 14th International Convention and Fair INFORMATICA 2011. CICCI’ 2011 is intended to be a Computer and informatics researchers’ interchange forum and also a framework to debate and analyze the on-the-topic research results.
Among the main objectives for CICCI 2011 we have the interchange of novels results which are contributions to the knowledge on Informatics and Computer Science, to strengthen the researchers’ worker relationships and pave the way to new meetings between junior and senior researchers. It is also intended to add the use of open source to develop the systems implementation.

Topics
CICCI 2011 will be divided into three tracks, having each of them on-the-topic specialized sessions. The papers have to be unpublished and present original research contributions in the following topics, but not limited to:
1. Interoperability and Data Base: Data Base integration, syntactic and semantic interoperability, Data Base and XML. New Data Base model to e-commerce, e-governance and other e-applications. Metadata, its interpretations and usage. Ubiquitous databases. Modelation, reuse, extraction, evolution and integration of ontology. Data Base technologies to build Semantic Web: modelation, recuperation of data, semantic web reasoning and integration. Languages, tools and methodologies to web data semantic analysis. Science Semantic Web and e-business.
2. Algorithms and programming paradigms: Technology and programming languages, distributed and parallel processing. Virtualization. Grid & cloud computing. Automatic program generation. Aspect Oriented Programming. CASE tools and model directed software develop. Specific Domain Languages (SDL). Services Oriented Arquitectures (SOA).
3. Artificial Intelligence and Patterns Recognition: Intelligent Agents and Multi Agent Systems (MAS), Machine learning and knowledge discovering, Meta heuristics. Soft computing and hybrid systems. Syntactical and Structural Pattern Recognition, Logical Combinatorial Pattern Recognition. Fuzzy and rough sets theories and their applications. Digital Signal Processing; Adaptive Signal processing. Detecting, processing and coding of voice, audio and music. Image digital processing: biometric, face and gesture. Computing vision. Video compression and streaming. Video surveillance and monitoring. Text processing and document recognition. Image, Data and Text Mining. Information and scientific visualization. Languages and tools to develop Graphic User Interface (GUI).
Along with the publication of the proceeding of the Convention, the edition of a post-proceeding is convened with an international editorial. The interested ones on this additional choice must send their papers in English. The program scientific committee will select the papers according to the papers’ evaluations. These papers will be published only after being exposed on CICCI 2011. The post-proceeding norms will be later published.
