Havana, March 29^th (Prensa Latina). The Cuban Minister of Communications, Jorge Luis Perdomo, regarded as important the context in which the International Convention and Fair Informática 2020 will take place from March 16^th to 20^th.

Moreover, he spoke about the interest there is in stimulating the development of ICT companies, for which purpose a group of measures will be soon enacted with the objective of encouraging the work of state-owned IT-sector companies.

Therefore, it is going to be a very good space for ICT and Software Industry companies to be able to present their services and show how could those who are interested make use of their online services and products, as part of e-Commerce, he highlighted.

Also, for institutions, companies, and international suppliers to be able to come to our country in a context in which the U.S.A. blockade against Cuba has been intensified, he said.

According to the President of the Executive Committee of the event, Wilfredo González, Informática 2020 will facilitate the exchange among professionals about the progress made in Cuba and around the world regarding information and telecommunication technologies, electronics, and automatics.

González remembered the words of the Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, when he said that the informatization process is one of the pillars of the governmental management of the country.
Consequently, he added that the interest of all the State and Government structures in boosting the correct usage of ICTs has been increased, in a process that is progressing and offering prosperity.

For digital transformation, will be the main slogan promoted by this year's edition, and it is linked to the application of digital capacities to processes and products aimed at satisfying the needs of society in general, he concluded.
