Pre-Congress Course: Advanced GNU/Linux Administration

 Software and Open Source Technologies

The 11th International Workshop on Free Software and Open Source Technologies invites you to participate in the pre-congress course: “Advanced GNU/Linux Administration”, which will take place at the University of Computer Science from March 2nd to 4th, 2020 in the morning.  The course was designed for people with basic knowledge on the use of telematic services on GNU/Linux and it will be taught by MSc. Yurisbel Vega Ortiz, Director of the Free Software Center, MSc. Juan Manuel Fuentes Rodríguez, Head of the Operating Systems Department(where the Cuban distribution of GNU/Linux Nova is developed) and Ing. Gustavo Quezada Arévalo developer of the Nova Servidores (Nova Servers) project.

The main topics of this course are:

1- Installation of Nova Servidores (Nova Servers).
2 - Installation, settings, and administration of the DNS service.

3- Domain(Samba 4) controller.

 4- Administration of the mailing service and the service of passive monitoring.

5- Proxy navigation service.
