Informática 2011 will have its presentation in the Chinese city of Beijing

On Tuesday, September 7th, 2010, the Cuban Ministry of Informatics and Communications (MIC) will launch at the Cuban Embassy in the People´s Republic of China (PRC), the official call to the 14th Convention and International Fair Informática 2011, with the theme “Converging technologies: integration and independence”. The event will take place in Havana, from 7 to 11 February next year.

In an interview for this Web site Eng. Marcelino del Frade, representative of the MIC´s office in the Asian country, told us about the final details of the program they have prepared to welcome the many guests invited to this important international release. Among them, there are governmental officials, personalities of this sector, and representatives from institutions, universities and Chinese entrepreneurs.

The Msc. Mónica Peña Casanova, a member of the Organizing Committee, and the Head of the Commission on Infrastructure and Technological Support, is already in Beijing. She will be the one extending the official invitation to attend the next edition of Informática in Havana, in the name of our country and of Dr. Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, the Executive President and Vice minister of the Informatics and Communications Ministry.

The development achieved by the PRC in the field of informatics and telecommunications has qualified this country to be at the highest level in the world of the ICT sector. A Cuba´s strategic ally for our nation´s development, the PRC has worked for half a century in the realization of important Cuban projects, allowing the country to deploy the required infrastructure to improve the telecommunications services, the electronics industry and information technology.

The Cuban ambassador in the PRC, Carlos Miguel Pereira Hernández will chair the launching of Informática 2011 in Beijing, a presentation that will be honored by the presence of many managers from Chinese informatics and telecommunications enterprises, related to the bilateral economic relations.
