Three special sessions will be held during the 18th edition of the International Convention and Fair Informática 2022: International Meeting about the History of IT and Computer Science in Latin America and the Caribbean. HICAL’2022; the Workshop “University Enterprise in ICT” and the Workshop “Digital Observatory and Transformation”.
The special session International Meeting on the History of IT and Computer Science in Latin America and the Caribbean. HICAL’2022 will aim to contribute to the dissemination of the efforts made by our country in the development of national informatics, as part of the strategy of technological independence. In particular, to make this information available to young people. To encourage young people to study the development of Cuban informatics, particularly the scientific and technological achievement of being the first Latin American country to have developed a national computer, in the state of the art at that time, and to have organized its serial production. As thematic guidelines: Presentation of the three works awarded in the Youth Contest on the history of computer science in Cuba. 50 years of the development of the first Cuban computer.
The special session 4th University-Industry Workshop on ICT (UNIEMPRES’2022) will have the objective of strengthening the University-Industry relationship in the Information Technology sector in order to improve human resources training, scientific research and innovation.
The thematic guidelines of UNIEMPRES’2022: Importance of technological surveillance, knowledge dissemination and foreign investment in the ICT sector. Intangible assets as the main resource. Human capital formation. Support for undergraduate education, training, role certification, and postgraduate training in companies and the University. The basic organization of R&D&I through Projects and Contracts. Importance of Planning. Relevant Science, Technology and Innovation Programs. Entrepreneurship as a key factor in company and university management. The role of technical advisory committees. The direct participation of specialists in the identification of effective demands. Business models. The concept of productivity in the Knowledge Economy. Software protection and commercialization. Organizational forms in the new Cuban regulatory context. Successful examples and good practices. Case studies.
The objectives of the special session “Observatories and Digital Transformation” Workshop will be to share good practices on the impact of observatories in the digital transformation of society.
Its thematic guidelines: Impact of observatories on digital transformation and public policies. Challenges and good practices of scientific and technological observatories under the university-business-society relationship. Indicator systems to measure progress in government and digital transformation. Role of observatories in knowledge management for digital transformation. Observatories and digital literacy.
The International Convention and Fair Informática 2022, in its 18th edition, will take place from March 21 to 25, at the Convention Center from Havana, Cuba, and on the virtual platforms hosted on the site www.informaticahabana.cu.
