Sayli Tur Pérez, Director of Science and Technology of the High-Tech Company GEOCUBA Research and Consulting, Executive Secretary of the XIV International Geomatics Congress offered details of the event she coordinates in the magazine Puntos Cardinales conducted by journalist Yasmina Iglesias Nuevo.

- How is this event being prepared?

   “The Congress, the 14th International Geomatics Congress calls all professionals, specialists, students, university students, both national and foreign, to participate and feed back on all the knowledge where geomatics is applied, since geomatics is almost transversal to the other sciences that are linked today in computer science, in the other events, because geomatics broadly converts knowledge, spatial information into knowledge.”

“The Congress that is being prepared already has a date for the reception of the works, we have deadlines for the delivery of those works before December 5 of this year, we will have personalities from different countries, the International Geomatics Congress has always been shown as one of the events that attracts the most foreigners to the Computer Science Convention, always having representation from Russia, Belarus, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, of prestigious figures who will accompany us at the appointment.
The appointment will be from March 24 to 27 next year, we already have preparatory activities: workshops, pre-congresses, which we will already have an appointment in September where it will be a first workshop and we will do it online, where we will show good practices based on the relationships that the GEOCUBA Business Group and Geomatics have with Russian institutions such as the MIGAI, which will also participate online. In September, we will do that workshop of good practices in a second moment, in person”.
