8TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON IT AND COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCES

          Purpose and scope: 

          The International Conference of Computational Sciences in Informatics (CICCI) that takes place in Havana, Cuba, as part of the International COMPUTER SCIENCE Convention and Fair since 2011, which has been consolidating as an exchange forum for researchers in Computing and Informatics. Its objectives, as in previous editions, are: to disseminate the main scientific results achieved in this discipline, to contribute to the strengthening of relations between researchers, and to facilitate contacts between new researchers and already consolidated groups.
           

          Thematic lines:

          1. Information systems, programming technologies and semantic web.
          - Information systems. Information and knowledge management, Business processes, Business architecture, Information systems security.

          - Software Engineering: Requirements engineering, Architectures in software systems, Processes and methodologies, Quality management, Maintenance and testing, Project management software.
          - Applications of Information Technologies. E-government, Business Applications, Information Technology in Teaching and Learning, e-Health Applications, IT applied to Cultural Heritage, Disability, technology and e-learning.
          - Foundations of the Semantic Web. Key standards and technologies. Interoperability between heterogeneous systems, integration of data from diverse sources, tools and frameworks for data integration.
          - Visualization and Exploration of Semantic Data. Tools for the interactive exploration of ontologies and semantic data, user experiences in semantic data interfaces.
          - Security and Privacy on the Semantic Web. Security in the publication and consumption of linked data, privacy and data protection. Ontology Development: methodologies and tools, evaluation and maintenance of ontologies. Semantic Web and Big Data: Management of large volumes of semantic data.
          - Large-scale semantic data analysis and processing techniques. Trends of the Semantic Web. Impact of the Semantic Web on Web 3.0 and the decentralized Web, emerging trends.

          2. Artificial intelligence and data science.
          - Tehniques for the discovery of knowledge. Non-standard machine learning, Soft computing and metaheuristics, Distributed algorithms for machine learning, Deep neural networks, Big data mining. Natural language processing, Text mining, Sentiment analysis. Data engineering. Large Language Models (LLM). Explainable AI Generative AI Reliable and safe AI Governance of artificial intelligence. Computer vision and signal processing and analysis.
          - Infrastructures for data science: Data analysis based on high performance computing and cloud computing. Heterogeneous infrastructures to offer HPC and Bigdata. Cloud computing platforms for the deployment of supercomputing services. Good practices in the use of DevOps techniques. OpenStack as a service infrastructure for HPC and BigData.
          - Applications of Artificial intelligence and data science: Industry 4.0, IoT, Simulation of systems and digital twins, Smart factories.

          3. Digital signal and image processing
          - Theory and methods of digital signal processing. Speech, audio and music processing, analysis and coding. Adaptive signal processing. Digital image processing theory and methods. Medical, biological, and cellular microscopy.
          - Computer vision. Analysis and compression of video streams. Surveillance and video monitoring. Emotional computing. Biomedical signal and image processing. Biometrics: speech, fingerprints, face, gestures and others..
