III CUBAN ICT FORUM

Purpose and scope:

This III Business Forum promotes the consolidation as a fundamental meeting point for Cuban professionals and entrepreneurs in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector residing in Cuba or abroad. Under the motto "Connecting knowledge, innovation, communities and business", the event seeks to transcend dialogue to become a catalyst for tangible opportunities.
The forum is designed to weave a solid and multifaceted network that unites the talent and experience of the diaspora with the entrepreneurial and business ecosystem, both internationally and within Cuba. It will be a dynamic space to share success stories, lessons learned, explore collaboration models and identify concrete ways to co-create the digital future, enhancing economic and technological development through the powerful connection of our community in the world.
 

Thematic Lines:

1.    Digital Bridges: Strategies for Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer 
Discussing practical mechanisms for the technical, methodological and managerial expertise of professionals to strengthen projects and teams within Cuba. Remote consulting models, mentoring programs, virtual trainings and the creation of shared knowledge repositories will be explored.


2.    Innovation Ecosystems: Connecting Cuban Startups with Investment and Global Markets 
To analyze the role of the diaspora as a bridge for Cuban technological enterprises to access seed capital, investment funds, acceleration programs and international marketing opportunities. Case studies of Latin American startups and how to replicate that success.


3.   Strong Tech Communities - Strong Businesses
Strategies to strengthen the existing ICT networks (formal and informal) of Cubans. How to create talent directories, strengthen and create technological communities through the Union of Computer Scientists of Cuba?


4.   Technology with Purpose: Innovative Solutions for Local and Global Challenges
Identifying areas where technological innovation can generate a direct social and economic impact. Topics such as AgTech for agriculture, FinTech for financial inclusion, HealthTech and EdTech. How to form joint ventures (diaspora + local talent) to develop these solutions.


5.  Legal and Operational Frameworks
A practical dialogue on the legal, fiscal and logistical challenges to doing business between Cuba and abroad. Analysis of viable business models (outsourcing, joint-ventures, professional export services), payment management and intellectual property aspects. The objective is to translate the will to collaborate into real and sustainable operations.
