Containers, Kubernetes and DevOps
Abstract:
Day 1: We will delve into the world of containers and DevOps. We’ll start by demystifying container technology, understand why it’s a game changer, and get hands-on experience with Docker, the industry standard container platform. Next, we’ll delve into Kubernetes, the leading container orchestration platform, and explore its key concepts and components. We will also introduce DevOps principles and practices, emphasizing the importance of automation, collaboration, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge through hands-on exercises and workshops.
Day 2: This is about advancing your skills in Kubernetes and DevOps practices. We’ll start by looking at the Kubernetes architecture, exploring advanced topics such as networking, security and monitoring. You will get hands-on experience in securing and optimizing your Kubernetes clusters. In addition, we will introduce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and show how it simplifies infrastructure provisioning and management. Finally, we will discuss the unique challenges and best practices for implementing DevOps in large organizations, which will enable them to scale their processes and culture effectively.
