Future 6G networks

Abstract:

The 6G era represents the next phase in the evolution of mobile communication technologies. In contrast to previous generations, 6G is characterized by a seamless fusion of the digital, physical and human worlds, giving rise to extrasensory experiences. This new era is expected to enhance existing connectivity, introduce innovative human-machine interfaces such as gestures and voice control, and promote sustainability through energy efficiency. In addition, 6G is envisioned as a platform that will fundamentally transform the way we live and work, with a focus on connecting the Internet of Things (IoT), mass deployment of digital twins, and integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. Commercial availability of 6G is set for around 2030.
