Abstract:
The deployment of 5G networks has accelerated the availability of telecommunications infrastructures based on virtualized solutions, which are not optimal for the efficient transport of large amounts of data. In this lecture we will describe the state of the art of CUPS (Control Plane Separation from User Plane) architectures, which by decoupling the control plane from the user plane allow to optimize to the maximum the transport of 5G traffic over the most suitable infrastructure.
