Doctor in Physics from the University of Havana since 2012. He is currently the director of the Complex Systems Center of the Faculty of Physics. He was head of the Department of Theoretical Physics until the creation of the Center for Complex Systems. He has promoted the use of telephony data for epidemiological studies since 2018, contributing analyses during the SARS-CoV2 pandemic in Cuba. He belonged to the team of scholars involved in decision making during the pandemic. He has maintained collaboration with MITRANS for the use of telephone data in public transport analysis. More than 20 publications in international journals.
