Degree in Physics (1984) and PhD in Physics (1991). He is University Professor in the Department of Physics of the Earth and Thermodynamics of the University of Valencia. His teaching activity is focused on Physics subjects at undergraduate and graduate level, and Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) subjects in postgraduate studies (Master and PhD). He has participated in several projects on Educational Innovation and has published four teaching books. In the field of research, he has focused on the field of Remote Sensing, although he also participated for 15 years in research in Rheology. With more than 70 articles published in high impact journals in the JCR. He has participated in more than 110 communications presented in international and national congresses. He has participated in 28 research projects in Remote Sensing. Member of the Spanish Society of Remote Sensing. His work during the last 14 years is focused on remote sensing applications to the environment and agriculture, with special emphasis on biophysical parameters of vegetation and water quality in lakes and reservoirs. He is a member of the Laboratory for Earth Observation (LEO) group at the Image Processing Laboratory (LPI) of the Science Park of the University of Valencia.
