She is a Doctor in Pedagogical Sciences, Master in Primary Education, Educational Informatics area, Bachelor in Education, Specialty in Mathematics. Consultant Professor and Professor of the University of Pedagogical Sciences "Enrique José Varona". She has held different methodological and administrative responsibilities. She is currently the Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Education and secretary of its National Commission.

She has received postgraduate courses and training related to different areas of knowledge. She has taught in different education subsystems and has extensive experience in teacher training through undergraduate and graduate teaching. She is a member of the academic committee of the Master in Technological Education (UCPEJV) and Master in Education (ICCP), member of the Committee of Doctorate in Pedagogical Sciences (UCPEJV). She is a main professor of courses and has been tutoring diploma, masters and doctorate works. She has participated in academic and research collaboration projects in Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela and Bolivia.

In recent years she has participated in research projects related to the management of science and technology in local development from innovation, the process of virtualization in the training of professionals of the UCPEJV, didactic foundation of the use of virtual teaching-learning environments; integration of ICT to educational processes, computer training of education professionals and the development of professional pedagogical skills for the use of ICT. She has participated in various national and international events as a speaker, lecturer, panelist, member of tribunals, organizing committee, and teacher of courses. She is the author of scientific articles, curricula and textbooks. Papers and course material have been published in the proceedings of the events.

She is the Vice-President of the Cuban Society of Mathematics and Computer Science, member of the Scientific Council of the UCPEJV, of the Subcommission of Informatics of the National Commission of Plans and Programs of Study, of the Association of Pedagogues of Cuba, of Honorary Chairs. She is an expert for the National Accreditation Board of the MES (Cuban Ministry of Higher Education) and for the arbitration of different journals.

She has obtained recognitions and awards such as: Frank País Order of First Degree (2022), Pablo Miquel y Merino Award granted by the Cuban Society of Mathematics and Computer Science for the contribution to the development of Computer Science education (2019), Special Distinction from the Ministry of Higher Education for her outstanding work and relevant results in graduate work (2018), Special Prize For Lifetime Achievement awarded by the Honorary Chair of Technological Education "José Manuel González Soto" (2018), Emeritus Member of the Cuban Society of Mathematics and Computer Science (2017), Second Degree Frank País Order (2012), José Tey Medal (2006), Rafael María de Mendive Medal (2006), Special Prize of the Minister of Education (1998), Distinction For Cuban Education (1996), Best Provincial Young Worker and invited professor to the 6th. Congress of the FEEM. Inscribed in the Labor Book of Honor (1984), National Vanguard on several occasions, Certificate of Exemplary Educator.
