Member of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). Full Member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba and President of its Branch in Camaguey-Ciego de Avila. She is a Senior Researcher; Professor at the University of Camaguey and Member of the Station of Academics of the World framed in the University of International Studies of Hebei, in the People's Republic of China and Director of the International Institute for Research in Artificial Intelligence, in this Asian institution. She has received more than 100 Awards and Distinctions, among them: The Finlay Order awarded by the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba; 11 Awards of the Cuban Academy of Sciences; the TWAS Award of the World Academy of Sciences in the Computer Science Category; the Distinguished Foreign Expert Award, Hebei Province, People's Republic of China; Distinguished Professor of the Hebei University of International Studies, 7 Special Distinctions of the Minister; the National Young Researcher Award in the Category of Technical Sciences; the Pablo Miquel National Award of the Cuban Society of Mathematics and Computer Science; the Sofia Kovalevskaya Award, sponsored by the Kovalevskaya Foundation, at Arizona State University, in the United States; among others. She has participated in more than 180 congresses and has more than 140 scientific publications. She has participated in more than 25 research and development projects and has 33 software registrations by CENDA to his name. She has tutored 33 Diploma Papers, 62 Master's Theses, 11 Doctoral Theses and is currently directing 7 Doctoral Theses. She is a reviewer of the DYNA Journal, Journal of the Facultad de Minas of the National University of Colombia; Reviewer of the Cuban Journal of Computer Sciences; Reviewer and member of the National Editorial Board of the Cuban Journal of Digital Transformation; Reviewer of the Journal Anales de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba; Reviewer of the Cuban Journal of Public Health; Member of the Scientific Committee of the Journal EDUCATECONCIENCIA, published by the Universidad Tecnocientífica del Pacífico, Mexico. Member of the Technical Advisory Council of MINCOM, Member of the Technical Advisory Council of MINREX, Member of the Association of Pedagogues of Cuba, Member of the Economic Society Friends of the Country, Member of the Cuban Society of Mathematics and Computer Science and of the Cuban Association of Pattern Recognition. Currently, she is the Director of International Relations of the University of Camaguey, since 2016. She was the Career Head of Computer Engineering of the School of Computer Science in the 2013-2016 period; she was the Dean of the School of Computer Science from 2009-2012 and the Head of the Department of Computer Science of the School of Computer Science from 2007-2009.
