Recipe for modernity: COS BioCubaFarma

Abstract:

The BioCubaFarma Security Operations Center, created in 2020, works together with the CSIRT-BCF, under the premise of the execution of three fundamental objectives linked to the constant surveillance; detection and analysis of incidents; and the coordination of responses and strategies to incidents to ensure the security of critical digital and information assets, as well as critical infrastructures operating in the Cuban Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical sector. As its basic components are processes, people and technology, the COS BioCubaFarma has become the management service of the computerization and cybersecurity program of BioCubaFarma and an organizational reference in the promotion and construction of other COS at the country level, due to the social responsibility it applies to the sensitization and education of users focused on the safe use of technologies. The recipe of modernity has allowed us to continuously adjust the process of information security to ensure that the COS BioCubaFarma is always in a process of development, adjusting and adapting to emerging threats.
