Abstract:

In recent times, the digital realm has evolved to become more than just a space for hosting entertainment content and socializing through social networks. It has also become a fully developed infrastructure for carrying out various human activities. The fundamental characteristics of this digital space is its complexity, ambiguity, multidimensionality and vulnerability, aspects that also fully apply to people carrying out various actions online.

However, the main difference between the digital space and the physical space lies in the sphere of legal regulation and moral and ethical standards, as the judicial system and society itself operate according to each state’s own ethical and legal framework. There is no international system that protects users of the global digital space from malicious actions.

Thus, all network users become targets of information attacks of various kinds, which is equally true for individuals, large and small social groups, organizations and states. For a long time, the professional community considered that technical solutions were the only ones possible, but practice has shown that the solution to these problems is more complex and interdisciplinary. Thus, this report will focus on modern sociotechnological approaches to ensuring security in the digital domain, as well as on the creation of a global model of secure information space.
