Cybersecurity Management in Institutional Web Portals, M. Sc. Henry Raúl González Brito, Cuba. Proposal for a conference which will take place in the sessions of 16th Ibero-American Seminar on Information Technology Security, at the International Convention and Fair Informática 2024.

Cybersecurity is a key aspect to ensure the trust and protection of users and entities that interact through institutional web portals. These portals are the digital reflection of public and private organizations, and therefore must offer a quality, efficient and secure service. However, institutional web portals are also vulnerable to cyber attacks, which can compromise the integrity, availability and confidentiality of the information and services provided. For this reason, it is necessary to adopt cybersecurity controls to prevent, detect and respond to cyber threats, as well as to minimize the risks and impacts in the event of an incident. The conference analyzes the main challenges and good practices for the management of cybersecurity in institutional web portals, with the aim of offering a global and updated vision on this topic of great relevance for the digital transformation of society.

This year’s edition of the Ibero-American Seminar on Information Technology Security, with the slogan “Computerizing society in a secure way,” will present the experiences and research carried out in the field of cybersecurity. It will be a meeting between members of the Ibero-American community of scholars, businesspeople, students and representatives of national and international organizations, where they will discuss and exchange experiences, serving as a platform to broaden the knowledge of the participants and strengthen the relationships among them.
