Conference: Deep learning based algorithms for real Face Recognition applications

Deep learning based algorithms for real Face Recognition applications, Dr.Sc.Heydi Méndez Vázquez, Cuba. Proposal for a conference which will take place in the sessions of 7th International Conference on Computer Science and IT (CICCI’2024), at the International Convention and Fair Informática 2024.

Face recognition has remained an active research topic in the area of computer vision for several years. With the rise of deep learning, there has been a flurry of research on deep learning methods for face recognition, which has led to a significant increase in efficiency in a number of related tasks. The conference will present a set of results obtained at CENATAV, DATYS, aimed at increasing the levels of efficiency achieved in various tasks related to face recognition in systems used in Cuba. In particular, methods proposed for automatic face recognition in video, automatic recognition of low resolution faces and faces with masks, as well as recognition of weak attributes of the face will be presented.

The International Conference on Computer Science and Informatics (CICCI) is held in Havana, Cuba, as part of the INFORMATICA International Convention and Fair since 2011, which has been growing as a forum for the interaction of Computer Science and Informatics researchers. Its objectives, as in previous editions, are: disseminating the main scientific results achieved in this discipline, contributing to the strengthening of relations between researchers, and facilitating contacts between new researchers and consolidated groups.
