Díaz-Canel and Marrero at the opening of the International Fair Informática 2024

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, attended on Tuesday, together with Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister, the opening of the 19th edition of the International Fair Informática 2024, which is taking place until Friday at the Pabexpo Fairgrounds in Havana.

The President and Mayra Arevich Marín, Minister of Communications, cut the inaugural ribbon and toured some of the 49 stands of around 70 exhibitors from a dozen nations such as China, Russia and Cuba, where they learned about the panorama of information and communication technologies on the island and the CubaGob e-government platform.

The Fair exhibits IT solutions from various entities such as Universities, Science and Technology Parks, and state companies and new economic actors in the communications sector that participate for the first time in the meeting.

These exhibition spaces host updated and personalized information on the development of digital services for the benefit of society.
