Press conference on the 19th edition of the International Convention and Fair Informática 2024 and the 3rd edition of the International Colloquium Patria
On March 6, at the International Press Center (CPI), a press conference will be held on the 19th edition of the International Convention and Fair Informática 2024 and the 3rd edition of the International Colloquium Patria.
Informática 2024 is organized by the Ministry of Communications (Mincom), the IT and Communications Business Group and the Cuban Union of Computer Scientists (UIC).
The third edition of the International Colloquium Patria will be held during the days dedicated to celebrating the Cuban Press Day, March 18-20, 2024, at the Pabexpo Fairgrounds.
The conference will be attended by:
- E Wilfredo González Vidal, Executive President and First Deputy Minister of Communications.
- E Ariadne Plasencia Castro, Executive Secretary of the Fair and President of the Information Technology and Communications Business Group.
- Yoandy Lazo Alvarado, chairman of the Scientific Committee, director of Technological Development of the Ministry of Communications
- Ricardo Ronquillo, president of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC).
The 19th edition of the International Convention and Fair on Informática will take place from March 18 to 22, 2024, at its usual venues at the Havana Conventions Center and the Pabexpo Fairgrounds.
The International Convention and Fair Informática, is an event that takes place every two years, which promotes the exchange of hundreds of professionals and businesspeople of the telecommunications, computer science and information and communication technologies (ICT) sector, both nationally and internationally. Its first edition was held in Havana in 1988, and it has been an event that has been consolidated over time and has shown the progress of computer science in Cuba and the world.
On this occasion, the slogan that will accompany Informática 2024 will be “For a digital society,” to socialize the results based on research, innovation and collective development, in order to project the importance, use and capabilities provided by Information and Communication Technologies, in the transition to a digital society with the necessary training of citizens to take advantage of its benefits.
The Exhibition Fair will be held in parallel to the Convention, a space for the exhibition of projects, technologies, resources, products and services.
